Keep smiling through just like you always do....

Trump lets his inner Kim Jong Un off the leash:

"North Korea best not make any more threats to the United States. They will be met with fire and fury like the world has never seen. He has been very threatening — beyond a normal statement — and as I said, they will be met with fire, fury and, frankly, power the likes of which the world has never seen before," Trump said, referring to North Korean leader Kim Jong Un at an event this afternoon.

Josh Marshall notes:
The worst possible thing is a President who is stupid, impulsively emotional and has something to prove, which is exactly what we have. (You think his litany of failures as President so doesn’t make him eager for a breakout, transformative moment?)

Fairness compels me to note Trump repeated himself, adding "and friendly power" to his catalog of reprisals.  Whatever the hell he thinks that means.

What is the one success Trump has had in 200 days, the one thing even his critics say he did that seemed "Presidential"?

Lobbing missiles into Syria.  Don't, for a moment, think that he's forgotten that.

Be afraid.  Be very afraid.
